Just wondering if anybody knows if it is safe to leave from Vinnettes and go to the river. I know a couple ships were in recently and wondered if the ice has stiffened up enough to get to the river on a sled or fourwheeler. Any info would be great thanks.

Went down there on my lunch break to check it out. Great Lakes trader barge was just pulling out of the far north dock. To simply answer your question, no. Maybe next year! Seen quads north of the channel so they must be leaving from the terrace.
