I was able to get out with friends over the weekend and we caught plenty of crappie but not the size we wanted. We kept thirty nice ones though. We even tried a little private lake for some real big crappie with no such luck. The weather was awesome with sunny skies and right around 30 degrees both days so it made getting around the lake easy. When I filleted the crappie they were almost all males. That would explain why we caught a lot of smaller ones. The females were a little sassy over the weekend.
