Hi Folks. Greetings from the Great Northwoods. It snowed all day and it’s freezing temps out there. Hard to believe the open water fishing season is only a week away. Things do not look good when it comes to seeing open water again this year. If anything, it might be a little worse.
I’m getting reports from ice fishermen that they are encountering anywhere from 24 to 30 inches of ice still out there. The bright side is seeing shorelines cracking, and when the ice starts shifting, it will go out fast. I’m looking to see some open water by mid-week.
Until next time ----
Jeff
