Sunday's walleye action was pretty much a repeat of Saturday's, but only better. Working different areas than what we fished on Saturday, we found very good numbers of eyes relating to 13 to 17 foot depths, soft bottom or hard bottom didn't seem to matter, they were there and hungry. We also found active fish relating to sharp break lines dropping from 8 to 17 feet, these fish were a little more aggressive and were caught not only on Reeve's weedless jigs tipped with extra large fatheads, but also on 3 inch Berkley Power Bait grubs, tried a few different colors and found that firetiger worked the best. The vast majority of the walleyes we caught averaged 14 to 17 inches and were mostly males, we did have 4 nice 19" plus inch females but they were put back to finish their job, also had one big crappie and a hefty pike to add to the livewell.
Back out today with my bride if it quits raining, will keep you posted.
