TFF Update

All I can say about Wednesdays action was that my guest and good friend Marge and I wasn't skunked. Third day in a row of NE winds sure has put a damper on the walleye bite and slowed other species down also. Figuring the eyes would be in the weeds along the wind blown shorelines and bays, we spent our first hour working these areas to no avail, not a bite. We did manage to find limited action in 10 feet of water over submerged stumps but only 1 keeper along with a couple of smaller ones. We tried deep rocks and found action slow and very small eyes there. We finally gave up chasing the eyes and decided to try some cribs and we found one nice eye along with 3 jumbo perch and 9 big crappie. Some days no matter what bait you use, crawlers, fatheads or leeches, it just don't make a difference if the fish don't cooperate.

Heading out today with my bride, maybe the rock bass are biting.
