Back out on Friday with guests Tom and Dick for a half day trip and we found all around good fishing action. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either large fatheads, 1/2 crawler, or large leeches, we found the eyes holding near submerged stumps in 8 to 16 feet of water, for the most part, leeches and crawlers worked the best in these spots as we boated a good number of eyes, but only 4 were good keepers along with an 18 inch smallie. We then switched to 1/16 ounce jigs tipped with medium fatheads or a small piece of crawler and worked a number of cribs and found yet another keeper eye and 24 crappies, bluegills and jumbo perch. Great morning of fishing.
