Dan from Northfield Minnesota and his friends Ted, and Duncan are staying in the area for the weekend and booked a morning trip on "Pete". We launched at the county park at 7 am and headed south for some jigging. We stopped on a spot about halfway to the dike and set-up. The fog set in and it got pretty thick at times and hung around until late morning. we moved down the buoy line near the dike and picked up 4 "shorties", and 1 in the slot before we got on a school of big white bass and the fun was on. My Humminbird was lit up with fish from top to bottom in 10-12 feet of water. We switched from minnows to twister tails on the jig and you couldn't get it to the bottom before it got hit. We got selective on what we put in the live well because they had 3 other friends along and wanted to have fish for dinner tonight.:D We kept 30 to fillet between 12 and 15 inches. Some of the nicest white bass I have seen in a long time. We put more back than we kept and the guys had a blast catching that many fish. ;)
