Back out on Sunday for an afternoon crappie trip with guests Dave and Jason and found a decent bite at best thanks to the NNW winds and cool temps. Using Reeves 1/16th ounce weedless jigs tipped with small to medium fatheads, we tried several cribs and found what one could call a cold front bite. Although we ended up with 18 crappie, 3 nice eyes, 2 jumbo perch and 1 big bullhead, we probably had three times that many bites and several that were just holding on long enough to get you excited before letting go of the minnow. All in all, we had a successful afternoon and lots of fun to boot.
