Chuck from Jackson, Wi booked another trip for this morning on "Pete". He took his friend Chuck from Waukesha with him on this trip, so I guess I was double "Chuckin" today. We launched at Chester seeing the wind was still blowing out of the SW. It was 34 degrees when we launched, and the water temp at the ramp was 51. We headed down river and pulled flies by Yellow Banks, Brown's Creek, and by Chester, then put the boards in the water and pulled cranks for a while. The cold front made the bite a little slow, but we did manage to boat 12 "shorties", 1 that just touched the line on the bump board and was released, 1 in the slot, 1 musky, 1 perch, and
2 white bass. :D
The fishing only get better between now and ice-up. ;)
Keep a tight line!!!
Jerry :)
