Wednesday once again greeted us with strong WNW winds and cool temps, we were also treated to a little sunlight a couple of times during the day. Deciding to target the bluegills during the morning hours, my guest Marge, and I vertical jigged a series of cribs with 1/16th ounce Reeves jigs tipped with small earthworms and found several of them, we kept 18 nice ones along with 2 big crappie. The afternoon hours were spent working different areas of river channels and secluded bays with rocky bottom that were out of the big waves and we boated a good number of smaller eyes but we did manage to keep 4 nice eyes and one 25 inch pike. Fish were all relating tight to the bottom and a slow retrieve with jig and fathead was a must.
