"Show Your Catch" photo contest

Lets face it, half the reason for sites like this is to look at fish pictures. We haven't had any brought into the shop yet this season, and we want to change that. To offer a little incentive, Bay View Bait and Tackle will be starting a weekly "Show Your Catch" photo contest.

The rules are simple. Just stop by the Bay View Bait and Tackle with a fish you caught, (any legal fish taken on hook and line, anywhere in the U.P. can be entered.) One entry per person, per day. No age limit, (if your kid can hold up a fish for their picture, they can enter.) Contest will start Monday, January 5th, and run through Sunday, March 15th. At the end of business every Sunday, we will draw a name from that weeks entries, and the winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to Bay View Bait and Tackle.

I'm going to tweak the rules a little bit. As much as we'd like to see some really big fish brought in, we'd also hate to see big fish killed that would have otherwise been released. It's just not worth killing those big girls, just for a shot at a gift certificate.

So for the C.P.R. crowd, (or those that don't want to make a special trip to the shop,) I will allow photos to be emailed to me at baitshop2@chartermi.net If I can look at the properties of the digital image, and verify that it was taken during the current week, it can be entered in that weeks contest. Be sure to include your name and a phone number you can be reached at, so I can notify you if you're the winner.

I have to apologize to anyone that sent pics to be entered in this week's contest. I'm stuck in Marquette General with another kidney infection. Hope to get out Sunday, and will try to get them up as soon as possible.

That was my dad. He stepped in to help Diane while I was gone.

He'll be happy to hear he looks like hell next to a cancer patient! LOL!
