Fished from 9:30 till 1:30 today down river from Nekoosa. Tried pulling flies first but that was slow. Strong east wind did not help. Pulled cranks and finished with 11 "shorties", and one "keeper",
All the shorts were very solid in the belly, none milking. The ice just left the lake yesterday so there are a lot of fish to come up the river yet. The ones that are there may be spawned out but that's not the end. Water temp by the launch 45.7, at Chester it was 43.3. The snow and rain they had up-north last night and this morning should add some needed current and water within the next few days.
Keep a tight line!!!
