Ice Out

All of the lakes that I am aware of of are now ice free. With a couple weeks yet before the opener it is a good time to get the boat in and make sure that everything is working as it is supposed to. Also it can be a good time to get into some good panfish action. The lakes are still relatively cold. I did hear of a few people starting to catch some shallow fish. I suspect that will change this week and the fish will retreat back deeper. It is currently snowing in Rhinelander and expected below average temps the next few days.
