The auction is held each year to help the Penn-Jersey Chapter of Muskies Inc (MI50) raise money to improve the local fishery in South Eastern PA. This is mainly accomplished by purchasing advanced fingerling Muskies (12”-20”) and stocking them into local lakes. Thus far the emphasis has been on Marsh Creek Lake in Chester County where the club has built a viable and flourishing pure bred Musky population. Stocking started in 2005 and we now have fish approaching 45” in the lake. Given the success we have had on this body of water, the club has moved on to other bodies of water while still maintaining the fishery at Marsh Creek. These lakes include Lake Nockamixon, where the club did an initial first year base stocking of 1200 14-20” Wisconsin barred advanced yearlings in the fall of 2012, with continued advanced pure stocking occurring in 2013, 2014. This can only be accomplished by raising as much money as possible through auctions like this, sport show participation, club events such as “guide for a day” and the club’s coop, partnership with Cabela’s and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

Thanks again for your support of the MI50 Penn-Jersey Chapter of Muskies Inc. With your support are truly making a difference for musky anglers in Eastern PA!
