Back out Wednesday after a brief layoff and was greeted with frost along with ESE winds. Starting out working wind blown shorelines with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads, my two guests and I found only 1 tiny eye, 2 little smallies and a mid 30 inch musky. After poor action in the shallows, we moved to deeper water over submerged wood and found steady action from the eyes. Working our jigs slowly in these 15 foot depths was the key as they were holding tight to the bottom. Had to deal with several hang ups but it was worth it as we boated many eyes, lots of throw backs but we did get our limits of pretty nice eyes along with 1 big crappie.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
