We have had some success the past week. we had adverse weather from frost to near 80 degrees. Jigs and minnows are still the best for Walleyes. We are finding them in new weed growth or on points in the 8-11 foot range. Crappies are in then they are out. water temps are from upper 50's to low 60's depending on the lake. The musky opener in coming up this weekend. I would suspect that they will be pretty shallow this year. Look for new weed growth in the backs of bays for active fish. We are again facing cold weather and wing d today with the outside possibility of snow showers tonight. Tomorrow the high is not supposed to reach 50 degrees. After tomorrow a steady warming trend through the weekend. I think it could be a good weekend for fishing. get out and enjoy the Northwoods!
