Saturday greeted my 3 guests and I with a light SW breeze and we headed to the wind blown shorelines with submerged wood where one would normally find the walleyes but on this day it didn't pay off, all we had in the live well after working a half dozen areas was one eye and one pike, both taken on Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads. We then switched to lighter jigs and smaller fatheads along with night crawlers, we started working 15 to 18 feet of water over submerged stumps and a number of cribs, here we found some pretty good action from not only walleye, but perch and crappie to. Although we boated several eyes, we only kept a total of 6 and many smaller ones were released, 16 perch and crappies rounded out our catch for the day.
