After yesterdays storms, the gates are all open again and the river is high and fast. A lot of debris floating all over the lake making it very difficult to troll. There is a possibility of more serious storms coming in Thursday night into the day on Friday with up to 5 inches of rain not out of the question.
I had Mose from the Chicago area and his father-in-law Doug out this morning on "The Rock". We started the morning pitching rubber craws and twitch baits for smallies and boated two and one cat. Moved to the channel edge near Splash and set out the dead rods and jigs tipped with minnows. Finished the day with 16"shorties",1 crappie, 1 white bass, 2 smallmouth bass, and 3 cat. ;)
Photos in the album.
Keep a tight line!!!
