Hi everyone,
Had a busy week seeing lots of changes in the weather from day to day, mostly rain. Boated 41 walleyes in 5 days with a few keepers but plenty of crappie, bluegills, and perch to add fillets to the pile. Caught most fish on PRO jigs tipped with leeches and a few tipped with a crawler.
A couple of firsts, Young 12 year old Matt caught his first walleye- a 16"er, and first crappie. lots of fun and lots of memories. Matt lives in Chicago and now has some good fish stories to tell as he also caught his first two muskies fishing with a different guide the next day.
We caught all the fish in deep wood except a couple of walleyes came from a mid lake weedy hump. Water temps are still going up and down like a yoyo. Started out at 68 went to 72 then back to 68. When these storms end and the weather remains consistent, we will see a good increase in water temps and better fishing. Oh, and the bugs are hatching and I can prove it by the bugs in my beard! Good luck fishing everyone.
