Brian from Batavia, IL. booked a morning trip on "The Rock" for today. He has a place behind the Four Season's and wanted to learn a little about the lake. He isn't much into trolling so we hit three locations along edges with wood. I had him bring his Humminbird along and we plugged it into my ice fishing pack so he could mark some waypoints. I set it up so he has 5 colors on the map in five foot intervals. He now has a few starting points the next time he goes out. It was a little tough jigging until late in the morning, but we managed to boat a dozen "shorties", and 2 crappies. :) We probably lost twice that many on short hitters.
