Back out on Wednesday for a half day trip and my guest and I were greeted with clear sky's and a light NE wind. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads, we found just 1 eye on our first stop which was in 11 feet of water over some scattered submerged stumps. We then moved to slightly deeper water with a good amount of scattered submerged wood and found 2 more eyes. We then moved to try some weedy shorelines and we came up empty in those spots. We then moved back to the area where we caught our last eyes and we found 1 more keeper. We did try a few cribs and all we could find was 1 small crappie.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
