Back out on Tuesday after a brief layoff and found the action to be pretty good. Doing a half day trip, my two guests and I started out with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads and boated 5 nice eyes along with a few that got off in 10 foot of water on the sharp drops just off of big rock piles. We tried a couple of wooded shorelines after that and found nothing. We then sized down on the jigs and used medium fatheads and found some very nice crappie in 15 feet of water over a few cribs before calling it a morning, great to be out there again.
Back out tomorrow if weather permits for a half day trip, will keep you posted.
