Mercer area lakes

Hello, Looking to retire and move to the Mercer area, have fished and enjoyed the Flowage for a number of years, not sure if i want to live on it though. Anybody familiar with other lakes in the Mercer area, Lake of the Falls, Fisher Chain, Pine, Pike, Long lakes, other lakes, any info would be appreciated, Good Fishing and Safe Boating to all.

All the lakes you mentioned are great. The TFF gives you a lifetime of exploration and a great resale value. The other lakes are all within a short drive. They don't call it the Crown Jewel for nothin. Most of it is pretty far from a gallon of milk though. Hwy F to Mercer can get a bit tedious after awhile but once you slow down to Mercer speed it's ok. Park Falls seems to be on a roll these days with lots of new businesses. Mercer recently made the top ten of coolest small towns. My one regret is that I didn't find out about the TFF when I was younger.
