Tuesday morning greeted my guest and I with strong SW winds and a hot walleye bite. These winds had the walleye up close to the wind blown shorelines that held good weeds along with lots of wood. In less than an hour, we boated 10 eyes, 6 of which were very nice eyes on Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads. We started with 1/16th ounce jigs, but soon switched to 1/8th to keep the bow out of our lines. To finish up our half day trip, we worked a few cribs that we found in less windy areas and we boated 11 nice crappie. Great day out there.
Back out today for a morning trip, will keep you posted.
