The past 3 days has seen some very good action not only from the panfish, but walleye as well. Doing half day trips all three days, my guests and I have started each day concentrating on the large bluegills and crappie, then finishing our trips targeting walleye. These panfish as expected, have come from deep water over cribs and large submerged stumps. Using 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jig tipped with either medium fatheads or a small piece of crawler, we boated many big gills and crappie along with a few scattered jumbo perch, also a lot of junk fish (Rock Bass). As far as the walleye, most were caught in 14 to 18 feet of water over gravel and rocky bottom with 1/8th ounce weedlees jigs tipped with large fatheads, others were taken from cribs or deep wood.
Back out tomorrow for another morning trip, will keep you posted.
