Fishing action this past week has been very good as the summer temps keep hanging around. Walleyes have been taken in 12 feet of water over scattered submerged stumps and laid down wood on the calmer and sunny days. On the windy days, they have been relating to the wind blown shorelines with either weeds, wood, or rocks. Right now, on these windy days, you can spot big schools of baitfish in the shallows with a good pair of polarized sunglasses, makes you feel lucky when you can catch a nice eye with all the natural forage swimming around. Jumbo perch for the most part are being taken in the same 12 foot depths and are right in there with the walleye, always a bonus. Bluegills are being taken from the cribs and crappies are more scattered, some in the cribs and many in 16 to 20 feet near wood and in river channels. Reeves weedless jigs, 1/8th ounce tipped with large fatheads for the eyes and 1/16th ounce with medium fatheads for working the cribs for crappie and a small piece of crawler for the gills.

Back out tomorrow and most of the week, will post again on the weekend.
