TFF Update

Wednesday's action backed off some from what the bite has been as far as quality walleye goes. Starting off where we have been doing real well in 6 to 7 foot of water over wood, my guest and I using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads found a decent amount of eyes but the majority were a year away from being keepers, we did manage a couple of good ones along with some real quality smallies, a few in the 18 inch range. After working this area for a time we moved to shallow water areas and scored on some decent eyes along with more small ones. Shallow wood bays with 3 foot of water in and around laid down wood produced nice eyes as did shoreline weeds where the wind was blowing into. We also had some pike action but they too were on the small side, small mouth by far was the most aggressive fish of the day, we only had one that was smaller then 14 inches.
