Saturday mornings rain storm didn't halt my planned fishing trip with my Wounded Warrior son, Tony, and it turned out to be a very successful day for us. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads, we worked mostly 8 foot depths with submerged wood and came up with 4 real nice eyes and a chunky smallie. Moving on, we tried some calm bays in 8 foot and found 3 more with one being a keeper. Our last good eye was taken on a wind blown shoreline in 3 foot of water. It was a blessing for me to be able to spend the day with my hero.
Back out on Monday, will keep you posted.
