Saturday's half day trip for my two guests and I started out on the slow side as we found only 1 keeper eye while working 12 to 14 foot of water over submerged wood with Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads. When the NW winds picked up, we moved to shallow (3 to 4 ft) windblown shorelines and found some pretty good action. Switching from fatheads to 1/2 crawler, we worked this area for some time and finished our morning with 7 more quality eyes and 1 nice jumbo perch, we also lost a few jigs to pike along with boating a few of them.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
