We got rained off the lakes two mornings in a row. Yesterday Dan and Dawn from Lyons, Wisconsin booked a trip on "Pete". We pulled cranks until the thunder and lightning made us put an end to it after two and a half hours. We did have 2 nice crappies, along with some "shorties, white bass, catfish, and sheeps head.
Today, Bob from Caladonia, MN booked a trip with his sons Carson, and Mick on "The Rock". They are staying in the area for a week and wanted to get a handle on the lay-out of the lake and some presentations to use. I mentioned he could bring his GPS along and mark locations, and I showed him what to look for as far as cover to jig around. With about 2 hours left to the trip we started trolling and that did not last more than a half hour when we seen the rain comimg across the lake. They forgot rain gear so by the time we got all the lines in we were all soaked to the skin. They did get some locations to start with, ane we boated a bunch of "shorties", 1 "keeper", alond with the white bass, cats, and sheeps head.
