On Tuesday Chad from Wisconsin Rapids had a morning trip booked. The wind was blow out of the north/northwest which made for some nice 2 foot plus rollers. It was really hard to maintain contact with the bottom while jigging, so we felt it was a good idea to move the trip to Wednesday for safety and comfort. Wednesday was a lot nicer, lite winds out of the west. We started on the south end working jigs and dead rods around submerged timber but never had a bump. The winds from the previous two days had blown the algae to that end and it was present throughout the whole water column. We moved north towards Longview Point and found a lot cleaner water along the west shore. We boated 2 "keepers", and some "shorties", then went farther north and trolled for a short time and boated some catfish, white bass, and "shorties as well.
Today Mike from St Charles, Il. had a morning trip booked along with his son Mike. We tried the south end again but we were met with the same problem. We moved to cleaner water but the bite was really tough. We had a few bites and a white bass. We opted to try the trolling bite and that proved to be a good choice. We finished the morning with 1 19 1/4" walleye, 2 big slab crappies,a bunch of "shorties, the usual cats, white bass and sheeps head.
Photos in the album. ;)

Keep a tight line!!!
