Back on the water Saturday for a half day trip and my two guests and I were greeted with clear blue sky's along with light and variable winds. Figuring the eyes would be in deeper water with the conditions, we started out in 12 foot over mud bottom using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler or large fatheads and here we picked up a couple of nice eyes and a good jumbo perch. We then spent time in 14 to 16 foot over wood and came up empty in this area. We then moved back to 12 foot depths and worked individual submerged stumps and here we boated another 5 eyes along with 3 more jumbo perch, 2 big gills and a nice smallie. Most all of the fish were taken on crawlers.
