Back out on Friday with two guests for a half day trip and we found some pretty good action. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler or large fatheads, we started out working 10 to 12 foot depths over wood and came up with just 1 nice eye and that was on a fathead. We then moved to shallow weeds and spent the rest of the morning hours working several different areas and this paid off as we boated another 13 eyes, 6 of which were good keepers and a keeper smallie, also found active pike along with a good amount of bluegills. Except for the gills which were all caught on crawlers, it was about 50/50 with crawlers and fatheads.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
