Jon from Virginia, and Doug from Illinois booked a morning trip on "Pete" for today. They wanted to try and raise a musky so top-waters and sub-surface for about an hour. We didn't see any so we moved to the south end for some jigging and soaking dead rods with minnows. The big white bass were everywhere along the dike. I had them from top to bottom on the locator in 16-19 fow. You couldn’t get the jig to the bottom before they were on it. Most were 12-14 inches. We pulled cranks for a short time and Jon boated his best ever walleye at 27 1/2 inches. we boated 30+ of the big white bass, 2 big perch, 11 "shorties", 1 keeper, Jon's big slot fish, 1 cat, and a few sheep's head. :cool:
