Back out yesterday with a guest in search of walleye and we found some pretty good action. Using 1/8th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with large fatheads, we started out in 17 foot of water over rocky bottom and here we found limited action, two small eyes along with one nice keeper. We then moved to shallow 4 to 8 foot depths with a mixture of weeds and wood and had very good action. Switching over to lighter jigs for the shallower water, we found some very nice eyes relating to the shallow weeds and wood and we ended up with another 2 keeper eyes along with 3 throwbacks, all on fatheads. We then moved to a large stump filled flat and here we found one more good keeper eye along with 8 smallies, 5 keepers out of the bunch, all on jig and 1/2 crawler. Our last stop was in a river channel bend in 14 foot of water and here we found our last two keeper eyes, both on fatheads.
Back out on Saturday, will keep you posted.
