[Jerry Tipping]

Bob from Muscatine Iowa booked a morning trip on "The Rock" for today. A little chilly start to the morning, but warmed nicely after the sun showed itself. We started floating minnows under slip bobbers in shallow water and boated about 10 crappies, kept 2. The same number of "shorties", 4 nice size cats. We moved out to the main lake to work jigs around submerged timber but the bite was slow. We had another "shortie", another cat, and a small sheeps head. Moved to the north end and tried around some humps in the channel but the current was really strong and the water is very dirty, and a lot of junk floating. Should have stayed with the bobbers! :(
