The past two days, Sunday and Monday have seen some very good action walleye and pike action. On Sunday, my guest and I worked just a few different spots before approaching storms moved in, but by that time, we had our walleye. Using Invasion jigs tipped with either 1/2 crawler or fatheads, we found the eyes in 6 foot over weeds and also in 10 foot over mud bottom. A short 1-3/4 hour fishing trip. Monday was a much different story as my 2 guests and I dealt with warm temps and high humidity but that didn't slow down the bite. Morning bite was very good in 6 foot depths over weeds, mostly on 1/2 crawlers while the afternoon bite was in 12 foot over submerged wood with fatheads. At day's end, we boated over 20 eyes, several pike and a handful of smallies.
