Chased muskies fom 6:30 until 11:30 today and did not get a sniff until 10:20 when a very nice fish followed up deep and sank out of sight. I motored to another spot close by that I hadn't fished all year and got my Posseidon shredded after about a 5 second battle with a heavy feeling fish. So, I flew back to the exact spot where I had a 46-48" fish follow me 45 minutes prior thinking there might be a window opening. As I made the first cast back on that fish, the boat was still gliding into my cast a little and I see her tight behind my bait and I knew it wasn't going to go well unless she ate it quickly......sure enough she goes into the first turn and the boat glides into her path and she freezes for a few seconds and sinks out of sight. I really would have kicked my own arse if that fish would have been a real stud. I guess I got lucky.
I hope to get back on Chautauqua Monday since teacher workdays start up Tuesday.
Good luck out there this weekend!
