Pre-spawn action?

Since I live in the coldest area of Pennsylvania, we are weeks away from any pre-spawn action (at least here on the river).


Has anyone been moving/catching anything over the past few weeks? I hope to be fishing quite a bit over the next 10 days but some crappy, wet weather in the forecast for next week.

I have not made it out for almost a week, but put in around 23 hours in 3 days the week before, all on rivers. I only got one 34 inch fish near a dam that I fished on the way home for only maybe 15 minutes because I was feeling desperate. No other action at all. Fished some of my best pres-pawn spots, and I tried to fish them thorough. Water was in the mid 30's however, so we still have some time to get em. Fishing was done in both the far southwest part of the state and on the lower sections of the Upper Allegheny.

We did a few hours today in some muddy water and struck out. No signs of life anywhere we tried.
