We have been catching Largemouth bass in the shallow spawning flats approximately 2-5 ft depth range, and more are showing up along the weed lines in 7-8 ft. I’ve been casting a Texas rigged or Wacky rigged Senko. Green pumpkin or blue flack has been working good. Live bait rigs have also been producing quality fish either weightless or split shot rigged night crawlers have been very effective. With the warming water temps crappie fishing has been getting better. Most of the catching has been in 6-8 ft of water next to the weed line. Both bobbers or Casting small mini mite or tube jigs has been producing.

Crappies are in 6-8 ft of water I've been casting a Rocket Bobber with a 1/64th to 1/16th oz jig and Berkely 1" - 2" Gulp Minnow along the 8 ft weedlines.

Bluegills are in the shallows in 2-3 ft of water. The channels are holding a lot of small fish but you need to move around to find the bigger fish. Wax worms or small red worms fished with a bobber are producing most of the action.

Walleye fishing has been fair to good. For hands on angling during the day a live bait rigs like a 1/8 to 1/2 oz lindy walking sinker controlled drifting around shallow structure Fishing in the shallows is very good. Slow trolling crank baits and light inline spinners either straight lined or trolled with a planner board parallel or over the tops of newly emerging weeds s has been producing.
