With this recent warming weather patterns we have been catching, Lots of largemouth bass and a few nice sized Smallmouth bass in the shallow approximately 2-8 ft depth range, As warming water continues the schools will finish with spawning they will be gathering back together up along the weed lines in 7-8 ft. I’ve been starting to see them showing up while casting a split shot/night crawler or a wacky rigged Yum Dinger. Green pumpkin or blue flack has been working good .
Bluegills are in the shallows in 2-8 ft of water. The channels are still holding a lot of small fish with a few quality fish mixed in. But, you need to move around to find the bigger fish. Wax worms or small red worms fished with a bobber are producing most of the action.
Walleye fishing has been fair to good during the day on a live bait rigs like a 1/8 to 1/4 oz lindy walking sinker or split shot rigged night crawler in those sand pockets in the weeds 8-12 ft. and along the deeper weed lines with rocks connect. They are starting to show up the last few days as they are moving into their summer mid lake rock structures pattern.
