Fishing has been very good the past few days and overall good the past couple months. The weather kept us in Barkley Sound for part of the last week but there are Chinook at Swale rock and Effingham. Small 3 in Gibbs and Silver Hordes were working well. The past couple days the Chinook started to show up well on South Bank and we are getting them right down in the mud. White hutchies, small 3 inch spoons and green needlefish hutchies have been good. There are lots of halibut on Big Bank and a few Chinook there as well. Most of the halibut being caught there are small paddles, but as the season moves along we should see the average size go up.
