On Thursday I had Jim from Pennsylvania, Dan from Virginia, and Joe from Chicago out for a morning trip on "Pete". All three are brothers-in-laws staying at Joe's condo at Northern bay.
The weatherman kind of blew the wind forecast again. We started the morning soaking dead rods and jigging along a sharp channel edge with large fat-heads, but with the strong west winds it was hard to hold position with the bow mount motor out of the water half of the time. We switched to pulling cranks along the west shore to get some relief from the swells, and finished the morning with, 1 keeper, a lot of "shorties", 1 perch, and some really nice size white bass.
Keep a tight line!!!
