Today’s musky hunt went well with 3 hooked and a 40.5 in the bag.
I hooked a mid-40’s fish around 9am, handed off the rod just as the fish started charging the boat. The result = lost fish.
On the second fish, Larry got absolutely hammered at boatside as he was going into his second turn of his "blind" fig-8. The fish shot straight up and back-flipped in front of us at eye level.....and stuck the landing. What a way to catch your first musky!
The third fish was very near the end of the day. Larry rolled it for a headshake or two and it was gone.
We had ZERO follows. Everything we saw tried to eat.
Back to work!
