The river was too high to spend a full day there so we hunted Tionesta Lake muskies from daylight til dark on Saturday. We caught exactly zero of them too. A very frustrating day of catching them but an enjoyable day fishing for them. Once again, we had fish under the boat most of the day but could not convert.
Saturday was likely the last day I will spend on Tionesta this year. Water is cooling rapidly there and skim ice is coming soon. Hopefully, the river will get straightened up before Wednesday!
Stay tuned!

I hit the river up your way this weekend, and it was very good to me. I got 5 muskies and lost two others and had about 6 follows. This was over a 2 hour span Every fish landed was in a 35 minute span. No big ones all between 32-41 inches, but still this was the fastest action I ever had. The fish were hitting the lures very aggressively.

Sounds like you had a great day. Congrats!
If I would have only had 1 other person with me on Saturday, I would have considered fishing the river but several guys in my boat fighting the current all day makes it tough to have enough battery power for the trolling motor. It is also hard to justify fishing the same couple of areas over and over again for 8-9 hours. (If I would have known for sure we were going to bag several fish in those areas, I would have definitely fished the river.) ;)
Lots of fishing coming up over the holidays. Stay tuned!

Looks like it’s going to be a little cold! From high water to single digit temps. What a crazy fall! And I thought last year was crazy!

No kidding! We decided to cancel Wednesday’s trip after we saw the wind speed plus the high discharge level. Friday thru Sunday isn’t looking too bad at all.
Late November and half the leaves are still on the trees. Strange stuff.
