Tuesdays afternoon trip found the walleyes scattered once again and for the most part just a tough bite. My guests and I work about everything you could try in 4 hours and did manage to come up with 4 nice eyes and a pike along with a couple of nice perch, all on Invasion jigs tipped with fatheads, most all fish came from 4 to 7 foot over wood. Yesterdays morning trip was a much different story as my 3 guests and I found action from the very first spot we stopped to the last one we fished, and all shallow I might add, no deeper than 4 foot on every fish caught. Walleyes and jumbo perch were mixed together in these shallow weeds/wood and were on a very good bite. Using a variety of weedless jigs including Invasion and Reeves tipped with large fatheads, we ended up boating roughly 20 eyes, keeping 12 and also keeping 8 big jumbos and a nice pike.
Back out today and tomorrow, will keep you posted.
