We had a fun weekend hunting muskies and a couple of milestones reached. On a chilly Saturday morning, Dewey was able to grind out his personal best measuring 41” while jigging a 7-inch musky bomb.
Sunday was a weird day. We launched and ran to a spot I hadn’t fished for awhile but the water conditions kinda steered us there. Anyway, Mark had a fish blow up on the second cast so we fished the rest of the area before heading back on the fish that missed Mark's bait earlier. Then, Bob (Mark’s brother) evidently put a 7” Rig Boss in the sweet spot and we netted his first ever musky measuring 36”. (We are almost positive it was the same fish.)
We only contacted 1 or 2 pike the entire weekend and no big accidental walleye were caught but we did have a stud take a boatside swipe at Bob’s RBoss and steal his tail.
Water temps ranged between 49 and 51 degrees.
The first pic is Dewey and the second pic is Bob.
