3/8 musky hunt

We had 5 active fish up chasing our Rig Bosses and managed to get the hooks into 2 of them. The largest we saw was maybe 45 and the largest we netted was a Kyle's 42. I water released the other fish and did not get pics but she was in the mid to upper 30-inch range.
Water was very cold and high.

Nice work. Sounds like a fine early season trip, congrats. Did you guys notice any activity windows or was the action spread out? As I'm planning to spend more time on moving water this year, I'm just curious to see if patterns seem similar to the lake fish.

Funny you should ask...........Excluding the fish I water released around 11am, the remaining 4 active fish showed up in a 45-minute window later that afternoon. Then, they shut off as quickly as they turned on.

It is going to be a completely different scenario (weather wise) for the upcoming weekend.

Thats interesting. Definitely sounds like some sort of window. One of the rivers I will be fishing is below a flood control dam, so I'm guessing that changes in the releases will increase/decrease activity also.
