Opening day was one of the best in several years as fairly strong NW winds were whipping up some pretty good whitecaps allowing one to drift the shallow mud flats and either casting and retrieving or drifting with the bait behind the boat. Both ways produced eyes and plenty of them, it was interesting with the new slot size as a good deal of eyes were over the 15 inch limit and had to be released, but with a little patience we limited on nice fish. Sunday was a complete turn around as the winds switched to the NE with stronger winds and a 20 degree drop in temps, not a nice day by any means, after 4 hours of bouncing around we hung it up with 3 decent eyes in the well. A good family opening anyway. Yesterday wasn't much better with NE winds switching to the East, managed 3 keeper eyes and a half dozen nice pike. Everything came out of the river channels. Most all our fish caught came on weedless Invasion jigs tipped with a variety of minnows, muds, fatheads, and golden shiners. Back out today to do some major scouting.
Will keep you posted.

I thought that you could keep all walleyes over 15 inch but shorter than 20 inches

Wildcat, you better read the regulations for the TFF,3 fish limit, 12 to 15 inches, or you can keep 2 under 15 and one over 15, confusing isn't it.

These are from the 2020 regulations booklet, maybe somebody could take and post a picture of the regs posted at the ramps?

Thanks! No mention at all of the Ceded Area regs, so my interpretation is that you can keep (2) between 12" and 15", and (1) over 15" of any length.

Just got this reply from the Park Falls office of the DNR;
CSWEB@wisconsin.gov <csweb@wisconsin.gov>
Thank you for contacting the Wi DNR. If you check page 11 of the 2020-2021 Fishing Regulation Booklet, you will see under “Ceded Territory Walleye Regulations” that it states MOST inland lakes and rivers…. It goes on to refer you to the “Special Regulations-Listed by County” which talks about, on the Turtle-Flambeau Flowage in Iron County, the limit of (3) walleye, minimum length of 12” etc.,etc.. Thereby making the posted sign the proper regulation.
No 20"-24" slot that is referenced in the Ceded Area regs,,,,
