We fished Thursday evening from 3 until 8 and did not see an Esox in rapidly dropping water.
We were crazy enough to venture out for a 5-hour trip on Saturday. It was the 2nd highest wind day I had ever fished on the river. Tommy had 2 hot follows and Joe missed 2 fish in a 90-minute window between Noon and 1:30pm. The largest fish we saw looked to be low to mid-40 inch range. The wind was absolutely insane with several gusts knocking me off balance while working the trolling motor. The waves were crashing into the transom and getting Joe a little wet!
It is looking like we will chase some big browns on Tuesday evening.
Stay tuned and good luck!
